Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years of age with a valid State of Ohio driver’s license.
• Must pass Civil Service Commission written and physical agility testing.
• Must reside within, or adjacent to, Licking County as a condition of employment.
• Problem solving: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Diligently and thoroughly patrol assigned area.
• Recognize and observe suspicious behaviors that may indicate criminal activity.
• Observe traffic flow for violations and issue warnings or citations to violators.
• Prioritize and promptly respond to dispatched calls in a safe manner.
• Complete all special projects, assignments and investigations as assigned.
• Perform all duties in a professional, accurate, and timely manner.
• Maintain a high level of competence and professionalism to ensure duties are performed as described.
