Responsibilities

• Enforce federal/state laws and city ordinances.
• Enforce traffic laws and issue citations/warnings.
• Cooperate with other law enforcement agencies and prosecutors.
• Respond to a wide variety of calls with problem-solving and appropriate use of force.
• Investigate crimes, traffic accidents and gather evidence.
• Direct traffic, assist motorists and transport arrestees.
• Provide emergency medical response as needed.
• Promote positive department/community relationships and participate in crime prevention.
• Appear in court to testify and process bookings.
