Responsibilities

• Patrol, respond to calls for police service, and self-initiated investigations
• Demonstrate empathy and assist individuals in crisis or with mental health issues or addiction
• Conduct preliminary and follow-up criminal and traffic investigations, interview and arrest offenders, testify in court
• Engage in community policing events to build trust with the community
• Respect racial and cultural differences and treat people with professionalism
• Develop communication, human relation, and tactical skills
