Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old by appointment date.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record; pass medical and background checks.
• Vision 20/100 or better, corrected to 20/30 in each eye; ability to pass polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas by automobile, motorcycle or on foot to prevent crime and enforce laws.
• Investigate accidents, offenses and property damage; prepare and file reports.
• Make arrests, issue citations and provide verbal warnings as needed.
• Direct traffic, protect the public, and respond to emergencies and incidents.
• Maintain logs, records and case files; testify in court as required.
