State College Borough is inviting applications for police testing to join the State College Police Department (SCPD), with tests starting Oct 26, 2026. 2027 testing dates are Jan 10 at 10:00 AM, Jan 12 at 6:00 PM, Jan 21 at 1:00 PM at the State College Municipal Building.

The SCPD offers a 12-hour shift schedule and strong benefits. Starting 2027 base salary ranges include $29.44/hr in Academy, $38.80/hr on FTO, $41.38 after FTO, and over $102,000/year after 4 years, plus medical/dental/vision,

The State College Borough will be accepting applications for police testing, to join the State College Police Department (SCPD), starting on Monday, October 26, 2026.

The 2027 available testing dates are:

State College Municipal Building

All Purpose Room-Second Floor

• Sunday, January 10, 2027 at 10:00 AM
• Tuesday, January 12, 2027 at 6:00 PM
• Thursday, January 21, 2027 at 1:00 PM
