Job summary

Miami Township Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. The department offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, OPERS-LE pension contributions, a 457 deferred compensation plan and tuition reimbursement.

Job description

The Miami Township Police Department - a CALEA Internationally accredited police agency - is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license
• Must possess a valid Peace Officer certification issued by the Ohio Peace Officer's Training Council at the time of a conditional offer of employment

Police officers work 12-hour shifts and receive a scheduled three-day weekend twice a month. Assignment opportunities currently include SWAT operator, drone pilot, narcotics, honor guard, instructor, motorcycle unit, bicycle unit, and more!

This position will remain open through September 9, 2026.

Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug testing. Any job offer will be based on the results of background and drug testing.
