The City of Hinesville is seeking Police Officers to enforce federal, state, and local laws and to protect life and property. Officers work a rotating 12‑hour schedule and perform patrols, respond to calls, conduct inquiries, make arrests, provide aid, and direct traffic at events.
Applicants must be 20+, have a HS diploma, a valid Georgia driver’s license, U.S. citizenship, and be able to pass agility, psychological, polygraph, and background checks.
The City of Hinesville is accepting applications for Police Officers. This position is responsible for the enforcement of federal, state, and local laws and the protection of life and property. Hinesville Police Department Officers enjoy the benefit of working a rotating, 12-hour shift.
Major duties include:
Be 20 years of age or older.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Possess a valid Georgia Drivers’ License.
Be a United States citizen.
Have a DD 214 if ever served in the Armed Forces.
Be able to pass a physical agility test, psychological screening, polygraph examination, and background investigation.
Minimum base salary is $51,992.12 plus an excellent benefit package.
Base salary does not include any overtime pay or bonuses.
A first-year Police Officer averages around $53,554.14 based on a 12-hour schedule and $1200 clothing allowance.
