Anchorage Police Department seeks a Police Call Taker to provide essential public safety communications. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and three years of public-contact clerical experience, including at least one year as a Police Call Taker.
Candidates must type 35 WPM with certification, pass a drug screen, and be available for varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays under APD collective bargaining terms.
Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee.
This position is represented by the Anchorage Police Department Employees Association (APDEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the Union.

Total of 80 scheduHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, and three (3) years of experience which involved a substantial amount of public contact and office clerical duties, one (1) of which must have been as a Police Call Taker with the Municipality of Anchorage, or the equivalent elsewhere.
