The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) seeks a qualified Criminal Special Investigator to join our law enforcement team at the Douglas facility. Under a Special Investigations Supervisor, you will determine if evidence supports prosecution for state crimes at ASPC-Douglas.

The role encompasses crime scene processing, evidence handling, witness interviews, and coordination with state and local partners. AZPOST certification and ongoing training are required.

Qualifications

• AZPOST certification within one year of appointment.
• Experience in law enforcement and criminal investigations.

Responsibilities

• Investigates crime scenes and compiles investigative findings.
• Tests and presents findings in reports; testifies in proceedings.
• Provides protection, threat assessments, and gathers intelligence.
• Obtains/searches warrants; coordinates with agencies during investigations.
• Maintains surveillance and conducts undercover assignments.
