Job summary

The City of Eureka is seeking a journey-level, non-sworn police support services administrator to provide comprehensive staff support to Police management on a wide range of programs, projects, and services; respond to public requests; and perform related work as required.

The incumbent will assist in offender registration, patrol support, public information activities, investigations support, and routine recordkeeping while maintaining strong communication with the public and city staff under

Qualifications

• One year of related administrative support experience.
• One year of experience working with the public.
• Two years of college-level coursework is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, follows up on, and documents public information requests and reports.
• Provides comprehensive staff support to Police Department programs and services.
• Assists in fingerprinting, records management, and file maintenance as needed.
• Responds to public inquiries and drafts public information releases.
• Performs follow‑up on crime reports and supports investigations as required.
• Performs other duties to support police operations and program administration.
