California State University, Sacramento's Police Department seeks a Police Officer Cadet – Non-represented. Cadets attend a POST-certified academy to qualify for sworn duties. Appointments are temporary and typically not to exceed seven months.

Eligibility includes being at least 21, U.S. citizen or permanent resident eligible for citizenship, and proof of PELLETB score ≥42. The position requires flexibility to work a 24/7 schedule and to pass a series of evaluations and medical/psychological

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent and eligibility to attend a certified P.O.S.T. basic training academy.
• Eligible to be a peace officer in California.
• Eligible to obtain a valid P.O.S.T. Certificate in good standing.
• Valid California driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Attend P.O.S.T. certified academy to develop the minimum qualifications for sworn police work.
• Under close supervision, assist other police officers in duties.
• Learn report writing, physical fitness, firearms use and maintenance, and arrest techniques.
