Job summary

The City of Rosenberg is recruiting for a Cadet Program position within the Police Department. The trainee will participate in Police Officer Training and sign a Training Reimbursement Agreement.

The role involves serving the community, enforcing laws, conducting investigations, and supporting various safety programs. Qualified candidates may have a bachelor’s degree or military service, and must meet pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience with honorable discharge is required.
• City of Rosenberg employment for at least six months in good standing is acceptable.
• Currently employed in a law enforcement related field is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain public safety by enforcing laws, responding to emergencies, and protecting people and property.
• Identify, pursue, and arrest suspects and enforce federal, state, and local laws.
• Conduct investigations, collect and preserve evidence, interview victims and witnesses.
• Coordinate with agencies and provide traffic control at events and emergencies.
