The City of Chino is seeking Police Academy Trainees to begin a career with a department dedicated to excellence in public safety. You will learn under a training officer, covering criminal justice, laws, police practices, and departmental procedures.

Successful trainees advance to Police Officer with a probationary period and full peace officer authority; competitive benefits are provided as part of the package.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required; Police Science courses preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a California POST-certified Police Basic Training Academy, or graduated within 1 year of application.
• Must possess a valid California Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record; submit documentation.

Aufgaben

• Under supervision, Trainees develop knowledge and skills to perform Police Officer duties.
• Training includes criminal justice, laws, procedures, First Aid, conditioning, and orientation.
• If not successfully completing academy, employee may be separated from employment.
