Emeryville Police Department is seeking motivated individuals for Police Officer Trainee. Selected candidates will attend a California P.O.S.T. basic academy, complete required coursework, and graduate to sworn Police Officers with a 16‑week field training program in the Patrol Division.

Benefits include a trainee salary during the academy, comprehensive health/dental/vision coverage, and a POA‑MOU‑based benefits package after graduation. Minimum age and citizenship requirements apply.

Formación

• PELLET‑B written exam with a valid T‑score of 45 or above (or NTN Law Enforcement Test with required scores).
• Citizen or permanent resident eligible for citizenship within three years.

Responsabilidades

• Answering and responding to calls for service.
• Protecting life and property.
• Making arrests and enforcing laws.
• Patrolling designated areas on various transport modes.
• Performing crime prevention and community relations activities.
