Position Overview

• Follow a culture that is rich in safety and quality workmanship
• Utilize equipment to excavate ground material around utility poles
• Apply wood preservatives to the ground line area of a pole
• Help install steel trusses to restore wood poles
• Operate company vehicle (if applicable and qualified)
• Perform all other reasonable duties as assigned by the Foreman or Crew Leader
• Work schedules are typically 5-6 days per week, 8-10 hours per day, may require standby duties or on-call work
• Comply with all safety regulations and meet safety requirements to maintain a successful safety record

Job Duties

• Ability to travel about 75% of the time with per diem and lodging provided
• High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism
• Ability to work independently, in small groups, or as part of a team
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, bend, reach, and carry items weighing up to 65 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including various hours, nights, and holidays
• Ability to work in terrains such as rocky, steep, uneven ground, wetlands, and flat areas
• Experience in electric utility and telecommunications fields

Additional Information

The ideal candidate should be comfortable traveling within the client’s service territory. Candidates must be available for full-time work, averaging 40-45 hours per week. Compensation is based on experience.
