Position Overview

• Follow a culture that is rich in safety and quality workmanship
• Utilize equipment to excavate ground material around utility poles
• Apply wood preservatives to the ground line area of a pole
• Help install steel trusses to restore wood poles
• Operate company vehicle (if applicable and qualified)
• Perform all other reasonable duties as assigned by the Foreman or Crew Leader
• Work schedules are typically 5-6 days per week, 8-10 hours per day, may require standby or on-call duties
• Comply with all safety regulations to maintain a safe record

Job Duties

• Ability to travel about 75% of the time with per diem and lodging provided
• High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism
• Ability to work independently or in teams
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, and carry items up to 65 lbs
• Work outside in all weather conditions, including nights, holidays, and various terrains
• Electric utility and telecommunications experience preferred

Additional Information

The ideal candidate is comfortable traveling within the service territory and working full-time (40-45 hours/week). Compensation varies with experience.
