Job summary

Exo Group, LLC in the United States is seeking a Wood Services Foreman responsible for inspecting wooden utility poles for safety and quality, leading a crew and reporting findings to ensure reliability of pole networks.

You will conduct detailed inspections, manage field crews, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement, while complying with safety regulations and maintaining equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong planning and task management skills.
• Proficient understanding of wood pole materials, construction, decay mechanisms, and safety standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
• Proficiency in using basic hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 90%.
• OSHA 10 training.
• Pesticide Applicator License for state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Inspection Protocol: Execute detailed inspections of wooden utility poles based on safety guidelines and company protocols.
• Structural Assessment: Evaluate the structural integrity of wooden poles and identify signs of decay, cracks, or infestation.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure safety regulations are followed and hazards addressed.
• Reporting: Document inspection results with photos and notes, and record crew hours.
• Collaboration: Communicate inspection outcomes with stakeholders and support recommended actions.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to procedures, tools, or methods.
