Schedule: Full Time Days

Shift: M-F 7am-3:30pm with weekends as needed

The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Minneola

Minneola is nestled in South Lake County, just a short drive to Orlando, featuring stunning landscapes, parks, and trails. The community's charm and friendly atmosphere make it an exceptional place to work and live. The hospital will serve the growing population with inpatient care, including an emergency department, imaging, operating suites, endoscopy, outpatient laboratory, heart catheterization labs, and critical care rooms.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Point of Care Technologist is responsible for assisting with the coordination and oversight of hospital Point of Care Testing (POCT), including waived and non-waived testing, in accordance with regulations. Duties may include pre-and post-analytical work, and on-call hours may be required. The role emphasizes outstanding customer service and respectful relationships.

• Ensure testing personnel are trained and their competencies are documented
• Serve as a teacher, coach, and mentor for Point of Care testing clinicians
• Participate in evaluating new POCT instrumentation and procedures, and assist with data collection, documentation, and reports
