Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare is seeking a seasoned POC/LIS Coordinator to oversee point-of-care testing and the laboratory information system across the hospital. The role requires extensive experience in POC setup, data management, and regulatory compliance to support high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have strong phlebotomy and lab IT skills, with the ability to lead training programs and collaborate with clinical staff and IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in science or equivalent is required.
• Licensed CLS with POC or QA/QM experience preferred.
• Experience with LIS and POC testing operations desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Point of Care testing supervision to meet accreditation standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot test systems and equipment.
• Coordinate POC activities with clinical staff for efficiency.
• Manage LIS interfaces and data management for analyzers.
• Develop training programs for staff on POC procedures and LIS.
• Respond to service tickets and monitor middleware/lab software for errors.
