Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Point of Care Coordinator to lead POCT across multiple locations in the Hollywood, Florida area. The role provides technical resources and direction to nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate testing and regulatory compliance.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and Florida licensure, plus at least five years as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Florida licensure as Clinical Lab Supervisor or Technologist
• 5 years' experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training assessments and maintain teaching materials
• Ensure test systems function correctly and troubleshoot equipment
• May assist with inventory for Point of Care testing
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and management
• Provide technical oversight to meet accreditation standards
• Review quality control and address performance issues
• Oversee Point of Care Testing (POCT) across the area
• Coordinate competency assessment and materials
• Develop validation studies for new instruments/methods/tests
