Job summary

Snow City Arts seeks an equity-minded Teaching Artist focused on poetry to develop and deliver a project-based curriculum in both virtual and hospital-based classrooms.

You will document learning outcomes in our database, collaborate with hospital staff and another Teaching Artist, and participate in professional learning to advance anti-racist practices.

This is a part-time, 16-hour weekly role with guaranteed hours and benefits.

• Strong verbal communication and ability to adapt for diverse audiences.
• Experience with project-based curriculum design for in-person and virtual settings.
• Commitment to anti-racist education and equity.
• Experience working with youth and families from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver project-based curriculum for in-person and virtual classrooms within hospital settings.
• Document student learning and organize art portfolios in the database.
• Coordinate exhibitions and installations of student artwork.
• Participate in bi-monthly professional development and anti-racist trainings.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and fellow Teaching Artists.
