Job summary

PHYSICIAN AFFILIATE GROUP OF NEW YORK is seeking a Physician Assistant specialized in podiatry to join NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The role covers comprehensive surgical care in collaboration with surgeons, inpatient and outpatient services, and peri-operative assessments.

You will evaluate podiatric patients and participate in ED consultations and discharge planning. NY licensed PA with NCCPA certification is required; orthopedic/surgical rotation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA.
• Surgical/Orthopedic experience preferred; motivated new graduates with strong surgical rotations encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical care in collaboration with attending surgeons and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient surgical care.
• Evaluate and manage podiatric surgical patients.
• Assist in the operating room and perform peri-operative assessments.
• Participate in Emergency Department consultations, coordinate discharge planning, and provide cross-coverage of other surgical services as needed.
