US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our podiatry team in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will work alongside our podiatrists with hands-on patient care, rooming patients, taking vitals, and supporting physicians during procedures.

We offer hands-on training and ongoing clinical development, with opportunities to grow clinical skills and provide exceptional patient service across local offices.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or 1+ year of clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification is preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Strong communication, teamwork and multitasking skills.
• Ability to travel between local office locations as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Aufgaben

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures.
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services.
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education.
• Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed.
• Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service.
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
