Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our podiatry practice. You will work directly with patients, support physicians, and be part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

You will receive hands-on and ongoing clinical training and have opportunities to grow clinical skills while delivering compassionate patient care across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or 1+ year clinical experience required.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to travel between local office locations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education
• Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed
• Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies
• Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Completion of Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience

CMA or RMA certification

Medical terminology

Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking

Travel between local office locations

Proficient with Microsoft 365
