Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists in Washington state is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our podiatry practice. You will work directly with patients, support physicians, and be part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Starting pay ranges from $20–$22 per hour, based on experience, with opportunities for hands-on training and ongoing clinical development to grow your skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or 1+ year of clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification is preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to travel between local office locations as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures.
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, X-rays, and basic podiatric services.
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education.
• Manage lab specimens, insurance verifications, pre-authorizations, and prescriptions.
• Make post-operative calls and provide excellent customer service.
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage supplies.
• Maintain documentation and HIPAA compliance.
