Job summary

Essentia Health in Brainerd, MN seeks a clinical support professional to join the Podiatry Team. You will provide direct patient care in an ambulatory setting, support physicians and nurse practitioners, and assist with procedures, medication administration, and care coordination.

Strong patient interaction and infection control are essential. Qualifications include Medical Assistant program completion (certification within one year) or LPN licensure in the state, with BCLS or ability to obtain

Qualifications

• BCLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program with certification within one year of hire.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state.

Responsibilities

• Patient care and monitoring in ambulatory setting, including vital signs and histories.
• Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions with proper documentation.
• Coordinate care and follow-up appointments with healthcare team.
• Conduct initial patient intake and prepare patients for examination or testing.
