Balance Health is seeking a Podiatrist to join our Elgin, IL team. The role provides routine and referral podiatric services under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, focusing on patient care and clinical excellence.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois podiatry license, has a Doctoral degree, completed a residency, and brings at least three years of professional experience. Competitive base salary and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to observe, assess, and accurately record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for medical care.
• Knowledge to diagnose and treat injuries, diseases, and deformities of the foot and ankle.
• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
• Good time management to meet scheduling and administrative requirements.
• PC proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR and databases.
• Able to show legal eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to pass an in-depth background investigation and DMV check.

Responsibilities

• Examines legs and feet to diagnose care needs.
• Treats bone, muscle, and joint disorders of feet and ankles.
• Performs wound care management.
• Diagnoses foot/ankle diseases using histories, exams, x-rays and tests.
• Prescribes medications, devices, therapy or surgery as appropriate.
• Advises patients on treatment plans and foot care techniques.
• Maintains medical records with routine updates.
