Qualifications

• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Ability to explain treatment options to patients clearly.
• Excellent manual dexterity for foot procedures.

Responsibilities

• Treats bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet.
• Performs minor office surgeries: partial nail avulsion, abscess drainage, cyst aspirations.
• Educates the public about foot care benefits through speaking engagements and other forums.
• Performs administrative duties such as hiring, ordering supplies, and record-keeping.
• Advises patients about treatments and foot care techniques to prevent future problems.
• Corrects deformities with plaster casts and strapping.
• Diagnoses diseases and deformities using history, exam, x-rays, labs.
• Makes and fits prosthetic appliances.
• Prescribes medications, devices, physical therapy, or surgery.
• Refers patients to physicians for systemic disorders like arthritis or diabetes identified in feet.
• Other duties as assigned.
