Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Point-of-Care Coordinator to oversee POCT operations across Addison Gilbert Hospital, Anna Jaques Hospital, and other sites. The role requires strong leadership, regulatory expertise, and hands-on management of QC and instrumentation.

The position includes travel to multiple facilities, collaboration with nursing and pathology teams, and ensuring staff competency in point-of-care testing. AAS/ASMLS degree or BS in MLS with 5+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: AAS/AS degree in MLS/MLT or BS in MLS.
• Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience.
• MLS(ASCP) or MLT(ASCP) preferred.
• Demonstrates autonomy and critical thinking.
• Proficient with computers and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversees POCT operations at multiple sites.
• Evaluates new instrumentation and seeks approvals.
• Maintains regulatory readiness with CLIA, Joint Commission, DPH, CAP.
• Monitors QC, proficiency testing, and QA documentation.
• Coordinates IT/software upgrades and data management.
• Ensures staff competency through training and supervision.
• Travel to sites as needed to support POCT operations.
