Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking a customer-facing POC test engineer to design, build, and execute proof-of-concept tests for Arista products. You will work with System Engineers and customers to ensure solutions meet network design requirements, harness tools like IXIA/Spirent, and document results with detailed logs.

The role involves testing complex scale and performance, proposing enhancements and collaborating across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software test, system test, proof of concept tests, network consulting, systems engineering, or advanced services.

Responsibilities

• Write and develop POC test plans with customers to verify Arista products meet network design requirements.
• Identify or develop test tools and methods to validate scale and performance requirements.
• Design, build and configure large test beds for POC tests.
• Run POC tests, verify product and solution meet customer needs.
• Host customers for POC, execute tests and demonstrate capabilities.
• Document test results with logs, screenshots and supporting information.
• Log defects with detailed info and reproduce defects with engineering assistance.
• Propose feature improvements based on customer feedback.
• Participate in engineering spec and test plan reviews and provide inputs on functionality, scale and test requirements.
