Job summary

Hillenbrand, Inc. in Kansas City is seeking a Project Engineer to drive the technical execution of pneumatic conveying, material handling, and dust collection projects from order receipt to commissioning.

You will coordinate with customers, vendors, manufacturing, and installation teams within a Project Management & Automation Team to ensure successful delivery of systems valued up to multi-million dollars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience coordinating projects from design to commissioning.
• Ability to read PFDs and P&IDs.
• Strong communication with customers and vendors.
• Experience with equipment startup and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects from order receipt through design, customer approval, manufacturing, delivery, commissioning, and turnover.
• Serve as primary/secondary customer contact throughout execution.
• Develop PFDs with tagging and process information; create P&IDs.
• Review equipment drawings and vendor documentation.
• Monitor schedules and manage project documentation.
