Job summary

Kaleidoscope Innovation in Wichita, KS seeks a systems engineer to lead pneumatics activities within aerospace programs. You will define pneumatic architectures, prepare specifications, and coordinate interfaces with internal groups and suppliers to ensure robust system performance.

You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, perform trade studies, support testing and certification, and help meet program milestones with strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
• 5–8 years of aerospace engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of fluid flow and thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with pneumatics interfacing disciplines and system installation.
• Experience with model-based engineering or simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as a systems engineer and carry out pneumatics discipline activities.
• Define pneumatic system architecture, prepare specifications and requirements, conduct trade studies.
• Ensure engineering requirements management, validation and verification.
• Manage suppliers from an engineering project and technical perspective.
• Prepare design change modifications and optimized solutions.
• Support production and in-service teams in troubleshooting engineering systems.
