Job summary

Mitsubishi Power is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead Brownfield power-generation projects from concept through commissioning and closeout. You will steward safety, quality, cost, and schedule while ensuring customer satisfaction and contract compliance in a dynamic environment.

The role requires guiding high-performing teams, managing multi-disciplinary interfaces, and delivering robust financial and schedule performance. A PM background and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 11+ years of experience managing large power generation projects.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $200M in value.
• PMP certification preferred but not required.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large-scale power generation project or portfolio and manage project teams.
• Communicate project health, risks, and status to stakeholders, customers, sponsors, and senior leadership.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and baselines.
• Provide cost reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Direct all phases of assigned projects using PM methodologies, tools, and quality standards.
• Manage change control across scope, cost, schedule, and performance.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manageris responsible for an managing and executing Brownfield projects from early conceptual stages through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and contract closeout. This role provides leadership to high-performing project teams andmaintainsfull accountability for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction in alignment with contract requirements and Mitsubishi Power performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a single large-scale project exceeding $200M or a portfolio of Power Generation projects, including leadership of project teams.
• Communicate project health, risks, and status to stakeholders, customers, sponsors, and senior leadership.
• Capture and document lessons learned and provide summary briefings asrequired.
• Identifyproject risks, issues, and opportunities through detailed contract analysis and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop the project baseline income statement using approved estimates, pricing, and Division of Responsibility (DOR) splits.
• Provide regular cost reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Oversee development and execution of integrated project schedules including critical path activities.
• Ensureappropriate resourceallocation and execution against baseline plans.
• Support development of recovery plans when project deviations occur.Leadscopeexpansion initiatives and develop change order technical, pricing, and execution strategies.
• Direct all phases of assigned projects using established project management methodologies, tools, and quality standards.
• Manage formal change control across scope, cost, schedule, performance, and configuration.
• Providetimelyperformance feedback and support conflict resolution within project teams.
• Support continuous improvement of project management practices and adoption of new processes.
• Contribute to proposal development and bid support activities.
• Performadditionalduties as assigned by the Project Excellence Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineeringor related technical field; minimum 11 years of experience managing large power generation projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects exceeding $200M in value.
• PMP certificationpreferredbut notrequired.
• Strong ability to analyze technical, contractual, and financial information.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills including cost, risk, and performance evaluation.
• Advanced reasoning and problem-solving capabilities in complex project environments.
• Proficiencywith project management, scheduling, spreadsheet, word processing, and technical documentation software.
