Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of capital projects up to $5M TIC in regulated life sciences environments.
  • Provide technical leadership across the project lifecycle – from design through operational readiness to closeout.
  • Coach and manage project managers and staff; ensure budget, scope, and schedule adherence.
  • Interface with clients, EPC/EPCM partners, and vendors to ensure alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards (e.g., cGMP, OSHA).

This is a full-time salaried position with Project Farma, a PerkinElmer company. The successful candidate will reside in one of Project Farma's primary markets and be willing to travel domestically to meet client project requests. Project Farma’s purpose is to improve patient lives by accelerating the delivery of life-changing therapies. We accomplish this through the successful execution of high-quality life sciences projects across the full project lifecycle. Project Farma (PF) team members collaborate with cross-functional teams to build trusted client relationships, deliver exceptional customer experience, and contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities and applying data-driven insights to support project planning, cost, schedule, and performance management. This role contributes to organizational success by supporting financial performance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement, while also investing in people through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and professional development. The PMO Manager is responsible for leading teams and overseeing the execution of work aligned to project, client, and business objectives. This role balances people leadership with operational accountability, including coaching, performance management, resource planning, and ensuring high-quality delivery within defined scope, timelines, and budget. At more senior levels, this role provides experienced leadership and operational oversight across multiple projects or functional areas, with accountability for team performance, talent development, and consistent execution of business priorities, while partnering with senior leaders to drive continuous improvement, scalability, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • This role leads the delivery of capital projects of moderate to high complexity, typically up to $5M total installed cost, within regulated life sciences and advanced manufacturing environments.
  • This provides technical leadership and management of disciplined execution throughout the project lifecycle – from early design through operational readiness to closeout.
  • This role balances people leadership with operational accountability, including coaching, performance management, resource planning, and ensuring high-quality delivery within defined scope, timelines, and budget.
  • The PMO Manager acts as Project Farma’s and the client’s representative while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • They will report directly to the Regional Vice President, with an indirect reporting line to the VP, Project Management to ensure alignment with firm-wide project management standards.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams across engineering, construction, CQV, and startup workstreams.
  • Lead planning, design, construction, commissioning, startup and transition to operations phases of assigned projects.
  • Develop and manage project execution plans, governance models, and project controls structures.
  • Act as the owner’s representative and primary point of contact for client leadership.
  • Manage scope, budget, schedule, and risk across all project phases.
  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory, safety, and quality standards (e.g., cGMP, OSHA).
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers, engineers, and support staff.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders, EPC/EPCM partners, and vendors to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Support change management and escalation processes with Regional Vice President and Vice President, Project Management as needed.

Experience Required
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (and/or Masters) in Construction Management, or related field.
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 7 years of capital project experience, with 3 years working in a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience leading projects in the $500k - $2M TIC range.
  • Strong execution, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required for client project assignments.
  • Other preferred PMP.

The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
