Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. in Alabama seeks a Project Manager for the KSRE PMO to oversee scheduling, budgeting, and coordination across departments.

You will work with Technical Leaders to improve processes and ensure transparency to clients at every project stage. The role requires security clearance eligibility, 5+ years in project management, and experience with contracting, proposals, and ITAR/FAR compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain/maintain security clearance at a level equivalent to DoD SECRET.
• Bachelor’s degree in technical or scientific field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management including contracting/proposal/negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Technical Leaders and SMEs from setup to closure, tracking status and finances.
• Assist and lead proposal preparation, including requirements review and man‑power estimates.
• Help schedule projects using MS Project; generate schedules and Gantt charts.
• Create detailed cost estimates and financial models in Excel with minimal external tools.
• Monitor for overruns, missed deadlines, and risks that affect timelines and quality.
• Provide regular progress and financial reports to leadership and customers.
• Manage contract modifications, task orders, and government budgeting analysis.
