Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ invites applications for the Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO) Project Management Office intern position as part of the Future Talent Program.

The 12‑week internship provides exposure to PMO activities, process standardization, and tools development across global clinical trials with a capstone presentation of objectives. Applicants must be enrolled in a full‑time BS/BA program in business, project management, or related fields, be available May/June 2027,

Qualifications

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a full‑time BS/BA degree program in a business or project management, continuous improvement, computer technology, or science related discipline.
• Candidates must be available to work full‑time for up to 12 weeks beginning in May or June of 2027.
• Candidates must have completed at least 2 years of collegiate study by June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support for strategic initiatives
• Assist organizational efforts to simplify and standardize global process
• Develop tools to enhance conduct of our clinical trials
• Generate process maps and/or performance metrics
• Develop effective communications
• Receive exposure to the field of clinical research and drug development with direct activities supporting global clinical trial operations
• Deliver a capstone presentation illustrating internship objectives and activities
