Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ is offering a Global Clinical Supply internship within the GCS. The program runs up to 12 weeks and includes multiple projects to develop analytical, project management, and business skills in the pharmaceutical industry.

Interns will work on end-to-end clinical supply chain initiatives, contribute to dashboards and process maps, and collaborate across Planning, Quality, Logistics, and Digital teams while delivering measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, PharmD, or PhD degree.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Foundational digital and data literacy, including comfort working with data sets, business systems, and technology-enabled ways of working.
• Interest in applying analytics, automation, or AI-enabled tools to improve business processes, insights, and decision making.
• Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, or professional experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact projects supporting Global Clinical Supply priorities.
• Analyze business processes, operational data, and supply chain information to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support development of dashboards, reports, process maps, and business insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Planning, Quality, Logistics, Packaging, Digital, Clinical Operations, and External Partners.
• Participate in continuous improvement, operational excellence, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop recommendations supported by data and present findings to leadership teams.
• Contribute to process documentation, governance activities, and knowledge management efforts.
• Support project management activities including planning, risk identification, stakeholder engagement, and progress tracking.
