Job summary

Geneva Trading is seeking a curious and motivated PMO Data Engineering Intern to join our Project Management Office this summer, based in Chicago. You’ll work with real operational data to turn insights that leadership can act on, while learning in a fast-paced trading environment.

You’ll build data pipelines, model relational data, and explore AI-enabled automation. This role offers hands-on experience with dashboards, testing, and documentation in production-like settings.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Data Science or related quantitative field.
• Strong Python and data manipulation skills (Pandas/NumPy).
• Understanding of relational databases and SQL fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Data pipelines: pull data from internal systems and APIs.
• Data modeling: structure raw data into relational models for reporting.
• Applied AI & automation: explore LLMS or ML to automate text analysis and improve data quality.
• Scenario analysis: create what-if models for staffing or resource changes.
• Dashboards & insights: turn data into dashboards and visuals for leadership.
• Production experience: write clean, tested code with documentation.
