Job summary

The State of Idaho is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Application Delivery PMO in Boise. The role focuses on translating business needs into clear technology requirements and supporting the lifecycle from discovery to deployment.

Ideal candidates will have BA-related training, a related degree, and 2+ years of analytical experience. The position may offer limited telework after probation, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience managing projects or BABOK-aligned business analysis training.
• Degree in Business, Public Administration, Finance or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work or BABOK training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery sessions with program staff and subject matter experts to understand business goals and document needs.
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Support solution validation, testing, and transition to operational support; ensure alignment with documented requirements.
• Maintain requirements and decision traceability; document scope changes and risks.
