Job summary

Learning to Achieve Wellness, Inc. seeks a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide safe, evidence-based psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication management across the lifespan.

The PMHNP will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care in a behavioral health setting. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, coordinating with physicians and therapists, educating patients and families, and maintaining compliant records.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a PMHNP specialization.
• Current and unrestricted NP license in the United States.
• PMHNP-BC certification by ANCC or equivalent.
• DEA registration and prescribing authority where required.
• Experience in inpatient, outpatient, or community mental health settings.
• Experience with in-person and telehealth psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments to identify patient needs and formulate diagnoses.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in psychiatric nursing practice.
