Learning To Achieve Wellness, Inc. is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management across the lifespan in Florida.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, deliver both in-person and telepsychiatry care, and build treatment plans addressing complex mental health conditions while maintaining compliant documentation and patient-centered communication.

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides safe, high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management to patients across the lifespan in accordance with the provider's education, training, licensure, certification, credentialing, and authorized scope of practice.

Psychiatric Providers at Learning to Achieve Wellness work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, medical assistants, specialty-treatment teams, administrative staff, and outside members of the patient's healthcare team to promote coordinated, person-centered care.

Learning to Achieve Wellness provides comprehensive behavioral-health services including psychiatric medication management, psychotherapy, TMS, Spravato/esketamine treatment, medication-assisted treatment, diagnostic testing, and other specialty and wellness services.

Psychiatric Providers are expected to appropriately identify patients who may benefit from these services and coordinate referrals in accordance with current clinical protocols.

• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in psychiatric nursing practice.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice within the United States.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in psychiatric mental health care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Current DEA registration and delegated prescribing authority when required for assigned duties.
• Be eligible for enrollment, credentialing, and recredentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial health plans, hospitals, facilities, and other payers or organizations required for the assigned role.
• Maintain an active and accurate National Provider Identifier (NPI), CAQH profile, and other credentialing information required by LTAW.
• Experience working in diverse clinical settings such as inpatient, outpatient, or community mental health centers.
• Experience providing both in-person and telehealth psychiatric care.
• Experience with treatment-resistant depression, substance-use disorders, ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, or other common behavioral-health conditions.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telepsychiatry platforms.
• Familiarity with TMS, Spravato/esketamine, MAT, long-acting injectable medications, pharmacogenomic testing, or other specialty psychiatric treatments.
• Newly graduated PMHNPs and other appropriately qualified providers may be considered for designated training or residency positions when available.

The required clinical skills enable the PMHNP to perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop effective treatment plans that address complex mental health conditions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building therapeutic relationships with patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in medication management and psychotherapy techniques ensures safe and effective patient care. Familiarity with electronic health records and telehealth technologies facilitates efficient documentation and expands access to care. Preferred skills such as expertise in specialized therapy modalities and cultural competency enhance the ability to provide personalized, evidence-based interventions that respect patient diversity and promote recovery.
