Job summary

Sunshine Behavioral Health is seeking a Psychiatric Provider in Raymond, IL to deliver high-quality psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and medication management for patients in detoxification, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services.

The role collaborates with the Medical Director and an interdisciplinary team to ensure evidence-based, patient-centered care while maintaining regulatory standards and comprehensive documentation in the EMR. On-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as PMHNP, NP, or PA.
• Active state license in the state of practice.
• Active CAQH profile.
• Current DEA registration.
• 2–5 years in behavioral health or addiction medicine.
• Experience with co-occurring disorders and EMR usage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental status examinations, substance use assessments, medication reviews, and risk assessments.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric and co-occurring substance use disorders using DSM-5 criteria.
• Provide medication management, including prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting medications.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director and treatment team on complex cases and protocols.
• Maintain timely, accurate EMR documentation and participate in discharge planning.
