Job summary

Sunshine Behavioral Health in Bastrop, TX is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Provider to deliver high-quality psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and medication management for patients in detox, residential, PHP, and IOP settings. You will document in the EMR, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, and educate patients and families about treatment plans.

The role requires current licensure as PMHNP/NP/PA, CAQH, and DEA registration, with 2–5 years of behavioral health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as PMHNP, NP, or PA.
• Active CAQH profile.
• Current DEA registration.
• 2–5 years in behavioral health or addiction medicine preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments.
• Provide diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management.
• Deliver crisis intervention and psychiatric consultation as needed.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director on complex cases.
• Document timely, accurate information in the EMR.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and treatment options.
• Maintain on-call or clinical coverage as required.
