Job summary

ViaQuest seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide adult psychiatric care in long-term care facilities. You will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with facility staff to promote resident well-being.

Travel within the service area is required. A PMHNP license and graduation from an accredited program are mandatory, with strong preference for geriatric and outpatient/telepsychiatry experience; full benefits and a monthly incentive bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• PMHNP license required.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental, and behavioral health services.
• Long-term care and/or geriatric experience strongly preferred.
• Outpatient and tele-psychiatry experience a plus.
• Willingness to travel within assigned service area.

Responsibilities

• Performing face-to-face assessments and ongoing psychiatric visits with adult clients in long-term care facilities.
• Maintaining current patient records to clearly document problems, treatment plans, actions, goals, and changes as they occur.
• Educating and supporting caregivers and facility staff.
• Managing and adjusting psychiatric medications to promote stability and well-being.
