Job summary

ViaQuest is hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide specialized psychiatric care for adults 18+ in long-term care facilities. You will assess, plan, and manage care for residents within a collaborative healthcare team.

In addition to direct patient care, you will educate caregivers and staff to support treatment goals. The role emphasizes medication management, ongoing psychiatric visits, and documentation, with opportunities for outpatient and tele-psychiatry work and travel across

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• PMHNP license required.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental, and behavioral health services.
• Long‑term care and/or geriatric experience strongly preferred.
• Outpatient and tele‑psychiatry experience a plus.
• Willingness to travel within assigned service area.

Responsibilities

• Performing face-to-face assessments and ongoing psychiatric visits with adult clients in long-term care facilities.
• Maintaining current patient records to clearly document problems, treatment plans, actions, goals, and changes as they occur.
• Educating and supporting caregivers and facility staff.
• Managing and adjusting psychiatric medications to promote stability and well-being.
