The State of Georgia is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to provide comprehensive psychiatric care within the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. This full-time role offers a day shift and a competitive compensation package of $108,000-$128,000, depending on experience.

Competenze

• Current and unrestricted APRN license in GA, psychiatric specialty.
• PMHNP-BC certification from a recognized body.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with psychiatric focus.

Mansioni

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations across lifespan.
• Develop and manage differential diagnoses and treatment plans, including pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications per state/federal regulations.
• Provide individual and group therapy as appropriate.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers for coordinated care.
• Educate patients about mental health conditions and treatment strategies.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records of assessments and treatments.
• Participate in team meetings and supervision to support quality improvement.
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric services as needed.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards including confidentiality.
