Qualifications

• Current Virginia APRN license appropriate for psychiatric practice.
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification is required.
• Current prescribing authority appropriate to the position.
• DEA registration or eligibility for practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
• Provide medication management and follow-up for patients.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications within scope.
• Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and clinical leadership.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
• Coordinate care across levels of treatment as needed.
