Job summary

Amae Health in Irvine, CA is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our new Orange County clinics opening soon. You will provide personalized behavioral healthcare, conduct psychiatric evaluations, and manage medications for adults living with serious mental illness within an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, PMHNP-BC, active California NP license and Medi-Cal enrollment, and at least 2 years of experience with

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing.
• PMHNP-BC certification.
• Active, unrestricted California NP license and prescriptive authority.
• Active Medi-Cal enrollment is required.
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
• 2+ years with SMI/outpatient.
• Familiarity with Orange County health systems.
• Holistic health perspective and diverse patient care experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral healthcare management for Amae Health patients with phased recovery.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management.
• Develop individualized treatment plans addressing psychosocial and medical needs.
• Provide continuous consultations in person and virtually as needed.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure integrated care.
• Address medical and behavioral health needs related to social determinants.
• Educate patients and families about mental health and recovery planning.
