Job summary

Amae Health, a Series B public benefit corporation, is hiring a Psychiatrist (Full-Time/Part-Time) for our Irvine clinic opening early 2027. You will provide expert behavioral health care to adults with severe mental illness, integrating psychiatry, therapy, primary care, and wellness tools.

We seek Board-Certified/Eligible psychiatrists with CA license and DEA, ready to support a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to research and outcomes in SMI care.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist with a California license and an active DEA.
• Willingness to obtain Clozapine REMS certification.
• Experience with mental health and/or addiction issues; familiarity with Irvine's health systems.
• Holistic health perspective and understanding of patient rights.
• Ability to work with diverse populations; strong interpersonal skills.
• Comfort with one-on-one or group settings; coaching and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication; adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Interest in using technology to improve care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral healthcare management for Amae Health patients across treatment phases.
• Develop individualized treatment plans during engagement and stabilization.
• Provide ongoing consultations in person and occasionally virtually.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure integrated care.
• Address medical needs to mitigate social determinants of health.
