Job summary

Relief Mental Health is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant to join our Denver, CO practice. The role conducts comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning in collaboration with supervising psychiatrists.

It includes medication management, education on Spravato and ketamine therapies, psychotherapy, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with Psychiatric Mental Health specialization.
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with PMHNP-BC certification.
• Experience in psychiatric or mental health settings preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and clinical skills; compassionate care.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and confidentiality protocols (HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations including medical history and mental status exams.
• Assist in diagnosing mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with supervising psychiatrists.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, managing side effects and adherence.
• Assess and educate for Spravato and Ketamine treatments; monitor vital signs and safety.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling using evidence-based techniques.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, options, and self-management.
• Collaborate with Therapists, Social Workers, Providers, and staff for comprehensive care.
• Maintain and sign treatment notes within 48 hours of appointments.
• Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis interventions.
• Stay updated on advancements and maintain required certifications.
• Coordinate follow-ups, motor threshold mapping, and evaluation of new TMS patients.
